TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an issue with extending their tourist visa in Thailand due to a potential lack of an arrival card, which they do not recall receiving upon entry. Community members discuss the current immigration procedures, noting that arrival cards may no longer be issued, especially after arrivals by air. They suggest that the user's previous travel requirements may have changed, and offer advice on approaching immigration with the necessary documentation, such as a copy of the passport and arrival stamp. Some users mention that if an arrival card is requested, it could be left blank or that they may need a TM30 form instead. Various opinions on the necessity of the arrival card and tips for travelers navigating visa extensions are shared.

Just go to airport and ask them for one. Fill it out and bingo. My card has been in my passport for years.

You don't need the arrival card. They just haven't updated the requirements on their websites

TM6 are no longer used. In place is the boarding pass aka arrival card is what immigration is asking for. This is the card of your aircraft seat assignment which shows your name, flight information, seat assignment, etc. At immigration, they will ask for your passport and boarding pass. Policy changed sometime after Covid for aircraft arrivals. Unknown to all travelers, this is an important document as the cabin crew doesn’t tell you this.

They don't give arrival cards at the airport anymore, they just stamp your passport with your departure date which is 30 days from your arrival.

They stopped giving arrival cards then as a trial. Go back and tell them you were not issued one

How did you enter Thailand? If you entered by air they are well aware the TM6 has been suspended. But if you entered by land you would have gotten a TM6 and need it for an extension.

Or are they asking you about TM30?
