Do I need to file a 90-day report with a DTV, and can I enter and exit Thailand freely during my 5-year stay?

Hi, I have a DTV. Am I right in thinking that I still have to do a 90 day report? Would I do this at immigration or online?

Also can I enter and leave the country whenever I like with no reporting process within the 5 years as long as I’m not in for more than 180 days consecutively.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, as a holder of a DTV, you are required to file a 90-day report if you stay in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. The first report must be done in person at your local immigration office. You can enter and leave the country as you wish, but you need to ensure that no stay exceeds 180 days consecutively to avoid losing your visa status.

The first 90 day report needs to be in person

What is 1st time

1st time

1st time is anytime you return from an international trip you must show up in person

If you don’t want to go a 90 day report just fly Out/In every <89 days for 5 years

Good luck

Yes and yes, but if you stay more than 90 days at a time you need to report.

So you know that you have to report after being 90 days in the country.

You ask if it is okay to not report when staying 180 days?

Yep, 180 days is much less than 90 days, so just leave or learn how to count to 180.

If you spend 90 consecutive days inside Thailand you are legally obliged to make a 90 day report. The first report after each entry must be done in person at your local immigration office
