ORIGINAL POSTERJust wondering if anyone here have missed their 90day reporting? If so, what happens? I was having a discussion with a friend who also has a DTV and he’s convinced that we don’t need to do 90 day reporting - just the 180 border run / extend. From what I’ve read in this group, it seems to be mandatory. Any thoughts welcome, thank you in advance 🙏

Your friend is right, nothing will happen, as long as you don't go to the immigration office. Ignore these repliers saying you'll "be fined". Nobody is looking for foreigners who didn't do their 90 day report. It's only an issue if you take yourself to an immigration office, which being on a DTV, I have ZERO clue why anybody on a DTV would do that.

This is a process question not an opportunity for people to judge other people. People can make their own educated risk based decision based on what the process actually is. If there are no common scenarios or reasons to visit immigration prior to the 180 day visa run then most people would ask themselves “why do the 90 day reporting?” if the only enforcement is at the immigration office and if you do get caught outside of immigration, paying 2000 baht might be worth the risk.James ********

if you want to break Thai Immigration laws... Which states you are required to file a 90 day report whenever you are in Thailand for 90 days. Just do it. If you want to ignore Thai Immigration rules.

It's not about being useful to you; it's about being useful for immigration to keep track of you. As a foreigner in Thailand, you must continuously report your updated address. This law applies to all visa holders except those with an LTR visa.Jeremy *****

2000THB fine next time you go to immigration. A copy of the 90 day report filing may also be required for the extension.
