Just did my 90 day report online it’s actually just putting your name and address that’s it
Answer summary
The conversation discusses the process of filing a 90-day report in Thailand for expats on a DTV visa. It emphasizes that the first time a report must be completed in person at the immigration office, and attempts to file online may lead to rejection. Subsequent reports can potentially be submitted online if the holder remains in the country without exiting for 180 days, but this is subject to specific conditions. Some users share experiences of both successful and rejected online submissions, noting that each immigration office may have different procedures.

Just use an agent for it, otherwise you are waiting a long time

how much does a 90d extension cost with an agent?

1000 baht, but honestly, it depends how you value your time, if you are there 4-6 hours, lunch breaks, mini interview,

That depends on which office, a lot odf offices it is just a 5 minute job.

And considering "in person" send in by registered mail, or any person is also OK.

ok ppl UPDATE:

is correct, I have just this minute received an email saying its been rejected.

SO this leaves the answer here for everyone to stop telling people the first one can be done in person and the ones after can be done online as it is not the case. EVERY TIME has to be done in person if you are leaving the country PERIOD.

For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required. so its basically a loop

The only time you are eligible to do a second or subsequent 90-day report online is if you do not leave the country at the 180-day mark and instead successfully apply for an in-country DTV extension at a local immigration office which means your still needing a visit to immigration lol

Allthough it is correct thet every first time of a stay means you have to report in person, my advice is just to try report online.

It is free, it delivers you a nice filled in TM47 form even when rejected to take with you to Immigration, and some reports in this group showed acceptation of even first time ever reports.

In my own case I have seen rejected and approved online reports, but when you do, just pay attention you need 2 emails, the second one with confirmation and the notification you should keep in your passport.

You are also eligible for online reporting when you don't like to report on day 90 but report on day 80 or so because that fits better in your agenda.

Then the second report is 90 days after the first report, so day 170, and when you stay full 180 days, you have to report a second time, and because that is online it is easy.

It is indeed simple, but because first time has to be done in person, most online reports will be refused for DTV holders.

Normally you receive 2 emails, the first wit confirmation they received, and the second with result.

If you are on a DTV, you most likely leave the country every 180 days. Therefore, every time you re-enter, it resets back to your “first” submission and therefore cannot do online. However, if you did the DTV extension and therefore have been in country for more than 180 days, it is possible. It also resets if you travel anywhere in country and the hotel registers you in that province.

DTV_BegPecker "It also resets if you travel anywhere in country and the hotel registers you in that province." you seem to be confusing tm30s. It is based on border entry PERIOD

my immigration office wouldn’t let me before, when on a spousal visa, so not sure the “PERIOD” is universal. However, I am located in an obscure province. I have never seen another at the immigration office whenever I have gone, despite it being a relatively large office. The entire staff jumps up when we come by, as if they are excited to have paperwork to process.

DTV_BegPecker Yeah, you are the only foreigner where being 90 days in Thailand resets if you visit the supermarket in another village.

Well done.

Yes, it is that easy. But it most likely won't get approved if this is your first one since entering the country. So you'll have to go and do one in person.

First 90-day report is usually straightforward if your TM30 and address details are consistent. It’s mostly a confirmation of where you’re staying rather than a full visa review. Issues usually come from address mismatches or missed previous reports.

did one last year in person

if you've left the country since then it won't count. The first 90 day report when you enter/reenter the country has to be done in person. Subsequent 90 reports can be done online. But since you have to leave every 180 days, and it resets, then you're never in the country long enough to have any "subsequent" 90 day reports. Thus, on a DTV you'll always have to do the 90 day report in person (unless you get an extension).

That being said, I have heard stories of ppl on DTV being able to do it online successfully, but they're just stories; I can't confirm it. I thought I got away with doing mine online, then I got an email the next day that it was rejected.

when I tried in April it said it was received successfully and I thought I was good! Next day I got a rejection email. But maybe you'll get lucky 🤷‍♀️

Obviously other types of visas don't have the same dilemma and can do it online.

I left last september after doing 90 day in person before that. came again in december left in february and came back in march so hence why its time to do it again. The whole do it online never applies if everytime you come into the country you have to do it again in person as everyone has to leave after 180 days so if thats the case doing it online is never the option so telling people they can do it online then is completely wrong if thats the analogy.

Ive had an email saying it was successful not rejected. I also clarified it with an agency whom posted online about it and said it was ok to do it online. So who knows now lol.
