Do I Need Proof of Fund Origin for Non O Visa Extension in Thailand?

For the Non O based on marriage to a Thai I understand the 400,000 baht needs to be in a Thai bank account 2 months before applying for a 1 year extension.

Do the funds need proof of coming from overseas or not? Thought I saw a post that this was not required. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
For applicants seeking a 1-year extension on a Non O visa based on marriage to a Thai national, the required 400,000 baht does not necessitate proof of the funds' origin when held in a Thai bank account for two months prior to application.

doesn't matter or not. That doesn't factor in to whether they do an in home visit or not.

Once you apply for the year extension it will go under consideration for 30 days then you will go back and get the year extension inked into your passport,.

During that 30 days the immigration office usually sends someone to your house to do an in home visit.

No, for the application of an Extension of Stay there is no need for proof where the funds came from.

Is there a waiting period for the extension to be given or is it immediate once funds & other requirements are verified by immigration office? Do all offices issue these extensions?
