Non-O by marriage, multi entry, exit stamp expired June 15th, visa expires in Nov 2020.

I'm planning on getting a 60 day extension based on marriage. Will this 60 day extension start from the day I apply for the extension, or start from when the amnesty expires at the end of July? Also, is there a list of required/possible documents needed for this, or does it vary from office to office? :)

Also, I'm considering maybe switching to an extension based on marriage if the borders with Laos/Myanmar remain restricted/closed. Is there a minimum number of days you need to have left on a Non-O visa before applying for the extension of stay based on marriage?

I'm in Chaiyaphum, but I appreciate these answers may vary from office to office. However, my local immigration office is nearly a 200km round trip, so any answers could save me quite a bit of hassle.

Thanks :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day extension for a Non-O visa based on marriage starts from the date you apply for it. The required documents can vary by immigration office, so it's recommended to have your Thai spouse contact the local office for a specific list. There is no minimum number of days required on your current entry stamp before applying for the yearly extension, but you'll need to maintain 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name for two months prior to application.

Wow, that was quick Tod. Thanks for the advice, I suspected it would vary but wanted to make sure. I've already saved up for the deposit in the event I need to go down that route...... :)

-The 60 days will start from the date you apply for it

-Have your thai wife call the immigration office and get the list of required documents, there are 70+ offices in the country and there is no one size fits all list

-No number of days you need left on your current entry stamp or extension to apply for the yearly extension BUT you will need to have the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply. When you apply you will get a 30 day under consideration stamp, then they will do an in home visit during that month then you go back and get the extension inked into your passport
