TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand, you generally need to have a minimum of 800,000 baht in your bank account. For the first-time application, this amount should be maintained for at least 2 months prior to your application, while for subsequent applications, it must be maintained for 3 months. Additionally, alternative options include providing a notarized statement from your embassy indicating a monthly income of at least 65,000 baht.

I don't make money with this, it is totally a volunteer activity. I don't think that paying for advice is more trustfully that getting it for free. The admins of this site advised thousands of people and seeing the feedback of many of them telling that they are thankful for the advice says enough for me.
Jonathan Daniel And I think you're wrong on MANY points. They DO treat every nationality the same when it comes to issuing extensions of stays. I've seen indians, burmese, french, americanz all go thru the process first hand and come out the other side FINE
It is NOT brain science or rocket surgery to get a yearly extension of stay inside the country based on being over 50 (retirement). There are only THREE ways to meet the financial requirements, period end of story :/ It doesn't matter what country you come from, you want to get a yearly extension of stay you either bank 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name for the requisite time before your application for extension, you get a notarized letter from your consulate stating you get at least 65K baht per month in income OR you use a combination of banked money and the consulate letter that totals over 800K baht in a year.
That you don't believe the advice doesn't mean it's NOT accurate advice.
If you apply for the first time for Extension of Stay you need a minimum of 800.000 Thb in your bank account for minimum 2 months prior application. For second, third etc application it is 3 months. Or the 65.000 Thb a month income certified by your Embassy or a combination of both with a minimum of 800.000 Thb.
No, you need either the 800k left in a thai account for the 3 months, I think it's 2 for the first time though or a notarized statement from your embassy stating you get a minimum 65k thb a month or equivalent in any currency
