How can I obtain the necessary documents for my NON-O retirement visa extension on the same day as my application at BKK immigration?

Hello everyone. Sorry I have to ask again about my visa extension:

Today I went to BKK immigration to extend my NON-O retirement visa for 1 year. I updated my bankbook and made a copy of every page 1 year back. I also get a letter from the bank (Bangkok Bank) to confirm everything. The bank gave me also a signed account printout with every transaction 6 months back. 12 months they cannot do it on the same day they said. I have to preorder 2-3 days in advance (in person). I failed, the officer said it has to be 12 months, and the copies of the bankbook are not enough she said. Okay get it but how can I do everything on the same day as they request if the bank needs 2-3 days (for the account overview with every transaction 12 months back) and the date will not be the day I get the account overview? I’m confused.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on how to meet the documentation requirements for a NON-O retirement visa extension at BKK immigration, particularly regarding the timing of obtaining a 12-month bank statement and a current updated bank book. Comments suggest obtaining the bank statement in advance and ensuring the bank letter is recent, with the updated bank book provided on the day of the application.

okay we're getting things mixed up

-The year transaction statement detail <- the one you order in advance you can get early

-The bank LETTER <- that 5 line one that states your name, account and balance on the day they write the letter can only be no older than 7 days

AND

You update your bank book on the date you apply for the extension so it shows the balance that date.

Okay. That made it clear. Thanks. Do I have to copy every page from the passbook after I updated it before I apply?

They require the bankbook updated on the day, not the others. I go and request a 12 month statement a week in advance, I go and collect on the day I go to immigration, request the letter and ask them to update my bankbook, then head over to immigration. I'm with a small immigration office so perhaps more difficult in BKK.

What about the statement itself? Did you also request it before or you just made it on the day you apply?

@Reto *****
you can read above. I request 1 week before I plan to go to immigration. The letter I just get on the day

Ah yes. Sorry.

Bangkok Immigration office accepts the letter from banks up to 7 days old. Get the letter for 12 months a few days in advance, and update your bank book with a clear record on the day of the application.

It's not about the letter. The letter I can do it on the same day at the bank in the immigration. It's about the account printout with every transfer I did in the last 12 months. I can preorder yes, then they maybe accept it if it's not from the same day. But they also say the letter and the passbook have to be from the same day. This means: I have to transfer a small amount on that day, so the passbook shows the actual date but then the amount in the letter and passbook is not the same as in the account overview anymore. Could be a problem, I don't know.

be aware that a withdrawal from an ATM may not update immediately. In January, before getting my statement, I ATM withdrew some money then updated my book and went inside to get the statement. After receiving my extension I realised that day's transaction had not shown up in the book update and was showing last transaction being in December last year.

I don't know if the IO hadn't noticed, but I already had to return to the bank because they wouldn't give me the statement until I got the extension !!! because it was 1 day past the due date

/2566 because that day was a public holiday. Of course, Immigration wouldn't give me the extension until I got the statement. Catch 22 again ! Immigration was furious and suggested a different branch as this one didn't use brainpower to realise they were on holiday the day before and not open.

I think the bank statement does not have to be on the same day, I think, like the gentleman said you can order it a week in advance and pick it up on the same day as your immigration appointment, but they do need to see your bank book transaction that was made on the same day of your application.

Okay. Thank you. Just to be sure: I can go to Bangkok Bank, ask them for the letter, and log 3 days before. Then get it on the day I apply and just update my bankbook and make copies of every page?

, right. a few days in advance would be good in Bangkok. the best is asking to your branch how long it would take and which day exact will be on the record, if you want to be really sure.

I would go a week early, they've always quoted me 5 working days.
