Hello, When I first apply for the 90 day non-o visa based on being over fifty and retired, do I need the banking info ( the 800k and the letter) ?

Or is that not needed until applying for the year extension ( within 30 to 45 days before the non-o visa expires?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the 90-day Non-O visa in Thailand as a retired expat over fifty, you will need to provide your bank information, specifically a letter from your bank and an updated bank book showing the 800,000 baht in your account. Some immigration offices may also require proof that the funds were transferred from abroad, and it's advisable to have the required amount in your account for at least 2 months prior to application. Additionally, ensure that you have at least 15 to 21 days remaining on your current visa before applying.

Yep you do need the bank letter, the bank book updated the day you apply

Some offices require you prove the funds were transferred in from abroad (Bangkok does)

Some offices require the 800K baht in the account for 2 months before you apply for the 90 day Non-O visa (Jomtien does)

You also need a minimum of 15 to 21 days left on your current stamp (depending on the office you apply at)
