I will be in Thailand for 35 days. Do I need insurance for a whole year or is it enough to have insurance during the 35 days I am in Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are applying for a one-year OA visa, you must have health insurance coverage for the full year, even if you are only staying in Thailand for 35 days. This is because the OA visa duration is valid from the date of entry. Several comments confirm that having insurance valid for the entire duration of your visa is mandatory to avoid issues during entry. Always check the Thai Embassy or official government sources for the most accurate information on visa requirements and health insurance.
OA RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the OA Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the OA Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
It may be best to look at the Thai Embassy site to get full explanation. My take itโs for over 50 year old you apply in your own country and you have to show financial details have health insurance in Thailand and have a medical certificate completed and last 1 year initially.
But there is more please look as above.
Hope that helps.

you need to have insurance for the amount of time you will be stamped in for, SO in your case, because O-A entry stamps are a year from the date you enter you need a year insurance.

So if you are stamped in for 90 days with a Non-Immigrant O, you only need to show 90 days worth of insurance?
