Hey everyone. Questions keep coming up trying to apply for a dtv. Do we need evidence of residence when applying? I'm planning to stay at my friends condo and I'm planning to pay rent there. What's the best way to show that? 

Also, to show 500,000 in the bank would the most current bank statement be enough? Thanks for the help.

Depends where you apply if you need to show residency in Thailand. Majority of embassies it is not a requirement. Current bank statement can be enough depending on where you apply. Decide where you are going to submit your application and apply accordingly.
