TLDR : Answer Summary
There is conflicting information regarding whether a long-term home rental lease of 6 months or 1 year is necessary for qualifying for a retirement visa in Thailand. Some sources, such as Siam Legal, suggest that a long-term lease is required, while others indicate that short-term arrangements, such as staying in a hotel or a monthly lease, may also suffice depending on the immigration office. Actual requirements can vary by immigration office, so it's advisable to check directly with them for clarification.

keep asking and you will receive more advice...... you might consider instructions from an immigration office...

Perhaps if you say which immigration office you will be using, hopefully people with past experience at that office will comment, if the office you intend on using is not far away, just go and ask them, what they will and won't accept.

Depends on what immigration office you're using. Some might require a long term lease while others won't.

I don't know because I'm still a while away from retirement visa. I just know that retirements vary by province. But you also can't shop around where you'll apply.
