TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa in Thailand, the financial proof required may vary depending on the embassy's regulations. Typically, a primary applicant must show 1 million baht, while the dependent may need to prove financial stability using either a shared account with sufficient funds or their own account. It is important to note that you cannot apply for the dependent visa at the same time as the primary applicant; the primary applicant's DTV must be issued before the dependent can apply.

If you have a shared bank account the general rule is you need double the money in it, as only half the money is yours

What financial proof you have to show depends on the embassy you apply at. Each embassy has their own rules about who has to show a bank account.

You cannot apply at the same time. One of the requirements for a dependent DTV is that you must upload the already issued DTV of the primary person. So that person must receive theirs first, then it can be used to apply for the 2nd one.
