Hello all. Im just about finished doing my SVT application and it states that I need to provide rental and contact details of the landlord with receipts for the entire duration of my stay ( up to 9 months). Its my partners house , so no money will change hands. I understand the TM030 and its underlying laws are about the obligation of a landlord (or house master, possessor, manager) to report the stay of a foreigner (non-Thai national) in his/her property and that foreigners staying in Thailand and their hosts should be very well aware of this. This all seems over the top. Please help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirements for applying for a Special Tourist Visa (STV) in Thailand, particularly concerning the need for a rental agreement. The author mentions living in a partner's house without a financial arrangement, raising questions about the necessity of a formal rental contract. Responses suggest that typically a rental agreement is required, even if the accommodation is provided for free. There are suggestions to contact the embassy for clarification and mention alternative options such as a letter from the partner or a lease agreement from a family member.
Reach out to the embassy and explain. You only need to worry accommodation in the 90 day blocks, not all upfront.
I know people who were able to extend staying at a partners house. They used a letter and partners contact and had their partner available.
I do not recall anyone getting through the embassy though like this, but you can try. As always rules can vary office to office, person to person, day to day.
Others have also used a lease agreement created by a family member. That may or may not work, depending on the documentation. If they are the house owner, then better.

Sadly, I doubt you'd get an STV without a rental contract. The STV is designed for people who have property here, or a rental agreement, or a pre-paid hotel room
