TLDR : Answer Summary
Canadians applying for the Thai DTV visa generally need to provide proof of residence. Typically accepted documents include a driver's license or a utility bill. Concerns about the legitimacy of documents are more pronounced for individuals whose nationality differs from their residence location.
It's not really an issue for Canadian citizens. A drivers licence or utility bill is typically enough. They are more concerned when someone has a passport nationality that differs from their location.
