Applied from Ho Chi Min, Vietnam. Applied on Thursday, got accepted today (Monday).
- Provided my September (only) bank statement, with balance shown of course.
- A friend of mine has been asked to provide, as a proof of location, his passport stamp proving he was in Vietnam as well as a hotel OR flight booking. So I did submit my stamp and hotel booking.
- As I’m a freelancer, I provided for my proof of work a PDF containing links to and screenshot of my LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio.
Everything was done online. Haven’t been to the embassy.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their successful experience applying for a Digital Nomad Visa from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. They applied online, submitted their bank statement, proof of location (passport stamp and hotel booking), and proof of work through LinkedIn and portfolio links. The application process was quick, taking from Thursday to Monday, demonstrating the efficiency of online applications. Some comments from others include inquiries about filling in the application form and the cost of the visa, which was stated to be $340.
I am applying there now. When filling in address, there seems to be an issue. Not sure where to put my Hotel address as both entries say "Home Address". Did you encounter this?
