Can I qualify for the Thai DTV visa if my wife meets the savings requirement but has no recent income?

My wife has the savings requirement to sponsor both of us, but no income for the past 6 months (she only just started a short remote contract job). I have income but no savings as we have been living off of my means. I can’t be added to her bank account because she’s American and I’m not and I don’t have residence there. Would the Thai embassy in Laos still consider us qualified for the DTV?

As you both want to work remotely you both need to apply for your own DTV using the workation option. If your wife were to decide not to work get her to stick the required amount into an account in your name and you apply using your income and you sponsor her as your spouse

They just want to see ฿500k in a bank account they don’t care about your financial gymnastics

Do it wrong hit submit and you just donated ฿10k to a good cause

Good luck

I think you'd better wait at least 3 to 6 months (to have proof of income), then your wife can apply. If she's approved you can apply as her dependent or something.
