Hi all, I‘ll be extending my 90-day Non-O visa and my child’s 90-day Non-Ed visas to 1 year visas soon and the school says we will need a receipt of notification of address (photo below). What is the best way to go about getting this? Thank you for any help or guidance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a receipt of notification of address for your Non-O and Non-Ed visas, you will need to file a TM30 at the local immigration office. This can be done by either you or your landlord. It's important to ensure the TM30 is filed promptly after moving in to avoid potential fines. When going to immigration, bring your passports, the rental lease, the property title deed, and a copy of the landlord's ID. If your landlord cannot assist, you will need to handle it yourself. Additionally, it is not necessary for your minor child to accompany you.

A couple of months ago I went to Chiang Mai immigration and did the TM 30 for all my family myself just after we arrived back to Thailand. All I needed was passports and rental contract both with copies. Although my rental contract includes a copy of my landlords ID

Thank you! A couple other questions - If the landlord doesn’t have it, and I have to go to immigration, do I need to bring anything with me besides my passport and visa, the lease, title deed and ID card of the owner? Do I need photos or anything like that? And does my minor child have to come with me or can I do it on her behalf (she’ll be in school). Thank you again 🙏

you need power of attorney from LL to be able to register yourself at immigration.

It could be done online though, LL or authorized person with all the documents need to create the online account first uploading all the documents (owner id/ chanot etc etc ). It could be done using this link (you could check users guide there first as well)

You have internet, sit down with landlord, use this link, let him make an account and do the registration. Print out the document that you, your kid and any other foreigner living on that address.

Your landlord or you go file a TM30 at the immigration office where you live.

There is a good chance you will get fined for failure to file a TM30 on time (you do it right after you move in) the max fine is 1600 baht but they usually just fine people half that if they fine them.

Talk to your landlord about it
