I have just moved home and my new landlord has filed a TM30.
Do I need to do anything else at immigration (Chaengwattana) before I can renew my O visa extension of stay (based on retirement)? I will take the new rental contract and map along with the usual documents for the extension of stay process.
Google searches have been confusing about the need for a TM28 and have even suggested that you may need a signed copy of the landlord’s owner blue book.
Thanks for helping clarify for me.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 form filed by your landlord is essential for your visa extension. For an O visa extension based on retirement, you do not need to file a TM28 as it is primarily for reporting a change of address. However, you should bring the TM30 receipt from your landlord, a copy of their Thai ID, the house book if available, and your new rental contract when you go to Chaengwattana. Make sure all documents are ready before your appointment to avoid any delays.
