Hi my wife and I both arrived on O-A Retirement Visas from the UK last week and are living in Bangkok. Having looked on line we are confused as to the various procedure and requirements for 90 day reporting. 

In person? On-Line? Visa Run? 

Also the required documents to present

For expats in Thailand with an O-A Retirement Visa, the 90-day reporting can be done either in person or online, but for O-A Visas, in-person reporting at an immigration office is required. You must first submit the TM30 form, which is a registration of your address, and obtain a receipt from your landlord. Then you can report your 90-day status either online with the TM30 receipt address or at the Chaenwattana Immigration office, bringing your passport and TM30 receipt with you.

I am also from UK and tried to do my first 90 day report online but with O-A Visa this is not allowed, you have to go to immigration office.

Thanks Vernon, think we'd feel better going in person for the first time anyway, to maybe get some feedback from the immigration officer rather than posting on-line into the ether.

they aren't gonna give you any feedback, that Counter A at Chaengwattana (where you do 90 day reports) cranks people thru.

Just go and apply using form TM47 and the address written exactly as it is on the TM30 receipt you have). Once you do one 90 day report in person you're in the data base and will have no issue doing the next one online.

In case you are new in Thailand and not an Immigration Specialist:

TM stands for Tor Mor and is translated Immigration Office and the number is the number given to the document:

TM30 is short typing for Registration of Address

TM47 is short typing for Report of being 90 days in Thailand.

TM7 is short typing for Application of Extension of temporary stay in the Kingdom.

TM6 is short typing for the temporary on hold arrival/departure cards.

There are much more documents numbered but these are the most common ones used.

You can do 90 days report in person or online 90 days after your entry to Thailand.

You need to submit TM30 first. Ask your landlord for TM30 receipt.

Then you can report 90 days online with the address on TM30 receipt.

Or you can go to Chaenwattana Immigration office to submit 90 days report, bring your passport and TM30 receipt for each.

You can't do a visa run. You can do a border run if you want. It's not 90 days report but just reset the 90 days count.

OK thanks Ellie, so I think easiest way for our first 90 day is to go to Chaenwattana with TM30s and passports.

(I assume from you reply that Insurance and banking documents etc are not required for this first 90 days)

, they don't ask for them, but if you have them, just bring all related documents. Better to bring unnecessary document at the end than being sorry to submit.
