Hello group!

I have a UK passport and was in Thailand a few months ago. I spent 60 days there in total, 30 days visa free + 30 days extension in Bangkok immigration office.

Would anyone know if I can re-enter Thailand say next week, and obtain another 30 day visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder who spent a total of 60 days in Thailand (30 days visa-free plus a 30-day extension) can likely re-enter Thailand and obtain another 30-day visa exemption. Most commenters agree that there should be no issues with re-entering within a short timeframe given this recent travel history. It is noted that entry by air allows for a 30-day visa exemption, which can typically be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office for a fee.

Why not go for a 60 day touristvisa.

No limit entries by air. By land border it's supposed to be just 2 times per calendar year. Can always extend 30 day tourist visa for a fee. A 60 day extension at immigration is 300 baht. I have no idea how much agents would charge I never used one before. I have a Thai wife but still work 6 months in 3 month shifts otherwise in Thailand. My wife now gets 6 months tourist visa on entry in Canada. I made a big mistake last August I flew morning back to Thailand and my wife was afternoon flight transit through Vienna and they denied her boarding pass to transit through Vienna to Bangkok. What a fuck up we had to buy another ticket. Always check if you or partner need transit visa. Airlines will just keep your money and have no responsibility to check rules for you even though you have to book ticket with name, passport number and country of residence. I can't believe they don't write something in the software to block the transaction. At the end of the day we had to pay

Shouldn't be an issue if that's your entire recent history in Thailand

Hi
@Brandon ***********
, thanks for the reply - So yes this is my entire history in Thailand.. spent 60 days there from September to November and I am now in Malaysia. I'd like to reenter next week but obviously want to make sure im not trapped in an airport. Can you say with some certainty that it will be okay?

people don't get denied entry for spending 60 days previously in Thailand. It's when they try and live in Thailand on tourist visas/exemptions. People that encounter issues have normally spent 6+ months here especially back to back entries and they'll often receive warnings from immigration that they'll be denied next time.

You aren't the target of immigration.

yeah, pretty certain you will be fine. Given that is your entire history I would be extremely surprised if you got pulled out of line and questioned.
