Hope someone in the group can help. I have just got out of quarantine and want to start to get things sorted. Arrived on a Non Imm O (spouse). We have a house up in Chaiyaphum and rent one near Pattaya so the daughter can go to an International School. Can I get a Tabian Baan for the one in Chaiyaphum but also use the address in Pattaya for reporting to immigration? Or does this totally confuse things?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of obtaining a Tabian Baan for their house in Chaiyaphum while using a rented address in Pattaya for immigration reporting purposes. Comments highlighted the necessity of having a Tabian Baan for both residences and stressed that the TM30 form determines the official residence for immigration. Failure to submit the TM30 could result in penalties.

The TM30 is the form you (or the property owner) submits to immigration no later then 24 business hours after you stay in a property. If you don't file the TM30, you'll be fined 1,600 THB with a max of 2K THB.

Here's a video (in Thai, subtitled in English) from the Thai government about the importance of the TM 30

Here's an article in the Bangkok Post about the TM30

Some immigration offices no longer require it; but Pattaya does.

Where you filed your TM30 is your official residence as far as immigration is concerned

You should have a Tabian Baan for both houses. The Tabian Baan is the property deed.

Are you referring to the TM30?

@Benjamin *****
just googled TM30. No, not referring to that. We will always have the house in Chaiyaphum so I wanted to be on the deed for that but didn't want my registration on that to cause any confusion on my first reporting in Jomtien, as I will also be registered in the rental in Pattaya

really sorry Benjamin. I'm new to all this and trying to get my head around everything and not done my first report yet. What is a TM30 if you don't mind?
