TM30 question when having more than one lease.

If I have have a lease that runs for another two months and take out a second lease on another property what reporting is necessary by either landlord (or me) if I choose to stay mainly in one and occasionally the other location? Both would be in the same immigration office zone that do like TM30s. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When holding two leases in Thailand and staying mainly in one location while occasionally visiting the other, reporting requirements for TM30 may differ. It appears that in Chiang Mai, the TM30 form is primarily significant when re-entering the country rather than for internal travel. It is advised to file the TM30 for the address associated with your visa extension at the immigration office and to not worry much about the other property.

Chiang Mai ONLY seems to care about the TM.30 form IF you're comin' back into the country. NOT from in country travel. I'd say file the TM.30 for the address you use for your extension at the immigration office and then don't worry about staying at the other address at all.

I'd wager that there's no down side to him doing it.

BUT

I sure wouldn't keep BOTH receipts in your passport. Just the one from your primary residence

Thank Tod. It is a logical thought. The landlord of the new lease is concerned and wants to submit a TM30 although I’m attempting to convince him it is not necessary.

what immigration office are you using?
