Came back from Vietnam recently went to Chonburi to do 90 day report and they insisted on a new tm30 even though i stayed at the same address in Jomtien. I didn't have the papers required so they let me off this time only.

I would use your permanent address. You don't need to file a tm30 if you travel for a short period anymore

I have never filed a tm30 again after being away for up to two weeks before returning to my registered address. However, I was reprimanded for not doing a second 90 day report on returning to my home location after doing one in Bangkok. Of course, doing the 90 day report on line if you are not at home solves the problem.Out of interest I just got an email from immigration services reminding me my 90 report was due following the last one being done on line. Things are looking up. I'm in UK currently so I can ignore it.

not every provinces require that. Samut Prakan only wants a TM30 when you come from abroad and only that is required for 90 days report, or a Visa extension. You can go one week in Pattaya or Phuket or anywhere in Thailand without any needs to resubmit a TM30 when back to Samut PrakanJohn **********

while a temp is filed every time you stay at a hotel, in my experience immigration ignore this if you have a permanent address registered so you don't need to keep filing. I don't know for sure all immigration offices do this but most do.Gee ******

Yeah. I stayed a few days at a hotel. My 90-day reporting was rejected because the hotel did a TM30. It seems a waste of time to ask landlord to resubmit a TM30 every time I travel somewhere. I don’t see why we can’t just use the last address TM30 for reporting. Does it really matter?

they want to know exactly where you live all the time. There are surprisingly lots of criminals that choose to live in Thailand, and when they get an Interpol notice they want to find them right away. Most stay legal so they don't draw suspicion. Thailand still has a reputation as a safe haven for criminals, even though it isn't anymore.Reply to

Used to be the case upon every return you need to file. Nowadays most offices say that as long as you are returning to your registered accommodation you don’t need a new one, some even if returning from abroad. State the office you use and others with experience of that may be able to advise their policy.
