90 day reporting.

Details: non imm. O ( Retirement). I live in both Chonburi and Bangkok- 2 leases. Application was done in Chonburi with Chonburi lease. Can I do the 1st 90 day in person report in Bkk or do I need to change my address to do so? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about reporting their first 90-day stay for a NON-O retirement visa, which was obtained in Chonburi, and whether it is necessary to change their address to report in Bangkok instead. Community comments clarify that according to immigration rules, reporting should be done at the office where the visa extension was granted (Chonburi). If the user wishes to report in Bangkok, they would need to change their address and file a TM30, which could complicate future reporting.

I think that the O/P has an idea of how the process works and can figure it out on their own from here.

Anywhere in Chonburi province, I've done it.
James *******
True enough. You can into any provincial Immigration office, as long your visa is from that province. At least that has been my experience in 18 years of living in Thailand.

@James ******
EXCEPT in Bangkok :/ There are 5 immigration offices in Bangkok,

BUT

for 90 day reporting you have to use the office where you get your extension. <- or in the case of the new MTT office open for 90 day reporting go there instead of Chaengwattana.

You can't use any of the other offices in the city to do a 90 day report.

@James ******
umm, there's only 2 offices in Chonburi :P SO anywhere means either Jomtien or Sri Racha ;)
James *******
Sri Racha would be the easiest, 10 minutes or less.
Tod *********
Even though there are two immigration offices in Chonburi province
@Ja***
I don't believe you can pick and choose what office you use there.

IF your stamp came from Jomtien I don't think you can go to Sri Racha and vice versa..

I had a visa from Jomtien before and did my reporting in Sri Racha, no problems.

@James ******
which is why I said "I don't believe" <- meaning I have no first hand knowledge of whether you can or can't do it. ;)

Jomtien is much easier to do the reporting.

Up to you...

But will need to do as Tod said.

Did you file a TM 30 in Jomtien..

Or not ???

@James *******
the application was done in Jomtien yes. Now need ro do 90 day report- 1st one. We will get new owner to fill out a TM30 in bkk I guess

You got the extension in Chonburi and as a rule you do 90 day reporting in the office where you got the extension.

What is the reason you wanna do it in Bangkok?

You'd have to file a TM30, change your address to bangkok, and then you couldn't file a 90 day report in Chonburi anymore (without changing your address back) SO pick one and that's the place you do your 90 day reporting.
