Hi everyone,

I’m a French resident interested in applying for DTV visa for Thailand. I would love to get advice from people who have already gone through the process or are currently applying.

- What is the best way to apply (directly from France or from another country)?

- Which country of application is recommended to make things smoother?

- Are there any tips or documents that are essential but not clearly listed on the official websites?

- How long does the process usually take?

Any guidance, experiences, would be really appreciated. 🙏

Thank you in advance!

Especially when the bulk of your documents are on other languages than English or Thai, you should apply in your homecountry where the Embassy will be familiar with documents in that language and how they are formated, saving you to make certified translations of documents.

Furthermore you save money by staying in in comfort in your home, instead of traveling to a 3 country and stay there for the unknown period until visa is approved.
