Why was my DTV visa application rejected despite fulfilling the financial and gym requirements?
Soft Dtv rejection Colombo. Had the money. SAT letter from best gym in Thailand. Airline Pilot with year contract villa.
Should of been 100% accept.

Considering how incredibly popular and common the DTV is, and how many people have it, you sound absurd calling it a money scam. It's like you getting rejected for a Schengen visa and declaring all Schengen visas a scam, despite how many people have no issue qualifying and getting one approved. Imagine an American being rejected for a visa to visit Vietnam or China and declaring those countries' tourist visas to be scams. Just cause you're mad and don't understand the reason for being rejected doesn't mean something is a scam.

Agree! It feels like a huge scam- I am from the UK and got rejected in Jakarta - with no reason. I have alot more than the required funds in my bank, I have been working online for the same company for the last 7 years, getting paid every month and provided bank statements, a company contractor letter etc.

If you are from the UK you can reapply in UK anytime you go back and the embassy is super friendly & they also work fast !

recently Colombo became notorious for rejections. I read reports even about dependant visa rejection. So probably you just applied in wrong embassy in wrong time

For me Colombo worked quite well! Very friendly and responsive staff there. I guess the “best gym” is not really a good reason for a DTV :)

Countless people have received DTV's. You did something wrong, or you did not pass the vetting process. Stop blaming others and perform a self assessment. Keeping bitter people like you out, keeps CM beautiful and charming. Don't reapply. Thanks for the donation.

Agent doesn’t guarantee you a visa , there has been thousands of people who applied with our agents in fact the the first 12 months there was no agents even touching DTV visas.

Did you try asking the reason for rejection? Could you have been rejected because they think you don't really need this visa and a multi entry tourist visa would suffice? Is it a fussy embassy? Just questions that come to mind.

The requirements are very specific and strict. The whole process is very unforgiving. If people doing it by thinking they comply and failed, very likely was due to misunderstanding of the criteria. I applied 3 DTVs all by myself with 100% success.

OPAndi the traveller. Ok so an Airline pilot that's lived in 11 countries with a British passport and 100k USD in bank with villa accomodation and best gym ( To qualify, you must train at a gym recognized by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and the Board of Boxing Sport )

If no one knows SAT gym then you have no chance getting a DTV visa.
Now I'm just paying an agent 40k with zero documents and I'm 100% guaranteed the DTV

You seem fixated on status for approval. You can be unemployed, never travelled, with membership of a DTV compliant gym and 20k USD banked and get the DTV. There is more to the DTV approval than you allude to. SAT approval is important but having that while failing other parts will not get approval. Paying 40k to an agent does not guarantee a DTV even with a corporate lawyer as a bestie. As to you saying you are in a better position than me further highlights why you failed.Christian ********

I'm waiting for a response! My meaning of a scam is it's just helping the agent collect money to get DTV visa, back hand money! For 80k even less, zero paperwork required just a passport. Hanoi is probably the easiest. I lived in Saigon for a few years and know the system very well!

I got approved in Hanoi, only had the full 500k baht in my bank for 10 days before i applied & I applied with a gym that’s been open less than 2 years.
Try Hanoi they seem to be better at approving than anywhere else, and be very particular with your application, i made a post on here i can send to you listing every little thing i did

That's why I used an agent and was sent to a friendly embassy. Full confidence from start to finish and also had a wonderful visit to a neighboring country.
