hello, i have searched this group for a couple questions but didn’t seem to find answers, can anyone help?

1. for the 500k proof requirement, there’s also the mention that this can be in the form of a sponsorship letter. what exactly does that mean?

2. how many consecutive months does the 500k baht need to be in your account?

3. i have heard of folks that were asked to do a Thai language interview if they previously had an ED visa. what level of Thai did they ask for?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the financial proof requirement of holding 500,000 baht for visa applications, specifically addressing whether a sponsorship letter can fulfill this requirement, the duration for which the funds must be in the account, and the necessity of a Thai language interview for those with an ED visa. Clarifications indicate that the sponsorship letter is primarily for spouses and dependents of DTV holders, and the length of time funds need to be held can vary by embassy. Additionally, the language interview is noted as not being a standard requirement for DTV visas.

Sponsorship letters are supplied by the main DTV holder committing to provide financial support and funding proof for spouses and dependent children.

Embassies vary in the requirements for length of time the funding must be in place, it can be from same day to 3-6 months, check the embassy you'd be applying at. ED visa proficiency interview has nothing to do with DTV requirements.

I contacted the embassy, and they informed me that submitting financial proof in the form of a sponsorship letter is only applicable for the category of "Spouse and dependent children of DTV holders," specifically for dependents applying alongside a DTV holder. However, this is the case for the South Korean embassy, and it’s best to check directly with the embassy where you plan to apply.

Well, I'm screwed if they want me to speak Thai. I have Ed Visa

and if you have an Ed Visa for Thai language... don't leave Thailand during the entire course of study. Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand are questioning those who have the Ed Visa for Thai language and you have left Thailand during the course of study.

You seriously going to have us believe you searched the keyword sponsorship and didn't get any idea from the hit list? Or any idea of how long the 500k needs to sit in an account for certain embassies?

Forget the sponsorship letter...

Forget the DTV Visa for Thai language

Select another option for the DTV Visa
