EDIT: Reapplied Wednesday last week in the same embassy and got approved today in the afternoon. So Hanoi did mine in 4 business days, no additional documents required.
Heya, I got rejected at Hanoi because I messed up some personal info. They said "Visa application cancelled, wrong personal info" and I realized I didn't put my current location in, just permanent home address, which were different in the documents.
Now I got everything else covered and checked, but I hear that I couldn't apply again at the same Embassy? Is that really a thing? There's no block on the website and nothing mentioned. I don't want to lose another $340 in case they just won't mention it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience of an individual who had their visa application canceled due to incorrect personal information. They successfully reapplied at the same embassy (Hanoi) and received approval shortly after. The community provided insights suggesting that reapplications at the same embassy after a cancellation are generally allowed, with some sharing their personal experiences of overcoming similar issues. It's advised to double-check all application details and consider contacting the embassy for clarification if unsure.
Hanoi is usually one of the faster embassies, but theyโre also strict on details. A small mismatch like the address can be enough for rejection. From what Iโve seen, itโs not an automatic ban from reapplying at the same embassy, some people have been able to correct the info and try again. But it really depends on the officer handling your case.
If you donโt want to risk another $340 blindly, doublecheck every line and maybe even email the embassy first to confirm. Honestly, these little technical mistakes are exactly why I ended up getting a guide. I came across one recently on amazon. Still reading but t's been helpful so far
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight โ๏ธ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
Yes you can apply- there is no rule to say you cant. And as your visa was cancelled not rejected just go for it. People do saying however, that when rejected you should wait few months but cant say if its true or not
