‘ Your visa application has been cancelled. wrong personal info ‘
I don’t know what exactly was wrong, the only thing I can think of is I didn’t put the ‘-‘ between my double barrel surname.
However the last two visa applications I have done in previous years I also haven’t put the ‘-‘ and they have been approved.
-Has anyone ever got a reply when they ask for more detail on what was wrong with their application.
-What is the difference between cancellation and rejection.
-Can I reapply straight away
Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a user's experience with their visa application being cancelled in Hanoi due to incorrect personal information (specifically a missing hyphen in a double-barrel surname). The user seeks clarification on the differences between 'cancellation' and 'rejection', whether they can reapply immediately, and if they can get more detailed feedback on the application issue. The comments provide insights from others who have faced similar issues, suggesting that cancellations often stem from small errors in personal details, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all information matches exactly with the passport. There are also suggestions to verify and double-check all entries before submitting the application.
All applicants should triple check all the information you submit, simple errors (which can easily be avoided) are often being made.
I suggest you apply in a quiet environment free of distractions ie. Your home, hotel room etc, not a cafe etc otherwise the mistake is costly B10,000! 🤦🏻♀️
Hanoi is to be avoided, they cancel for no reason, I've seen the exact same application cancelled in hanoi then the same docs given in hcmc and it was approved
There is a problem in the system that once you upload a picture of your passport your original entry details can be changed. Before you send off the application you need to go back and check everything.
How i interpret it is, cancellation means there is a mistake on the personal details. Rejection is unsatisfacrory documents.
If you read through this group, you'll see a lot of people have had their application cancelled due to very small errors in their passport details. Unfortunately, they're very picky about these things. I'm sorry, I know it's very frustrating
you can screenshot the final stage of the application data overview before submitting. You can edit all the fields, before submitting. I don't know if you can access a rejected or cancelled application to review its contents for clues to the error.
Hey, I think you need to copy exactly what your passport says. they have an automated system it seems like that matches your passport info to the info you input on the platform. Sorry to hear that though, I wish you the best of luck!
