Can I re-apply for a DTV visa in Thailand if my name doesn't match my passport and I haven't paid yet?

Hoping someone can help me out with this.

I just submitted my DTV visa application to the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, but right after I noticed the name ( final name ) doesn't match on my passport.

Can I re-apply ( " Apply for a new visa ") since I haven’t paid yet?

Some ppl said it’s okay and that unpaid applications get auto-cancelled after 14 days. But others said I should wait because even without payment, the embassy still sees the submission.

Anyone know what’s the right thing to do? Would really appreciate any advice! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can reapply for their DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Hanoi due to a name mismatch on their application compared to their passport. They have not made a payment yet and are confused about the implications of their unpaid application. Community responses indicate that as long as payment has not been made, they can safely submit a new application, as the previous unpaid application will likely auto-cancel after 14 days.

Yes, leave the other unpaid, it will automatically disappear from the system in 14 days. You don't need to wait for it to disappear to create a new application, and pay. The Embassy will see and review only the paid ones.

no need. If not paid, it doesn't mean a thing. Just create a new one.

Not 100% sure, but I think you can start a new application. The previous one is most probably not showing anywhere if you haven't paid it yet.

If you haven't paid it's totally fine to start a new application!
