When can I reapply after a visa rejection in HCMC?

Jun 16, 2025

Hi, I got rejected today in HCMC, which I read everyone on the group and pretty much understand that no one know the reasons. But Can anyone tell me when I can reapply again?

And also if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Ps. I submitted documents as they asked for

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their experience of having their visa application rejected in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and is seeking advice on when they can reapply. Community members offered various suggestions, highlighting the importance of understanding the reasons for the rejection before reapplying. They discussed potential issues such as inadequate documentation, errors on the application form, and whether the documents were provided in English. Several participants suggested that while one can technically reapply immediately, it would be unwise without addressing the issues that led to the rejection.

The fact that they take your money and can’t even bother to tell why you got rejected is outrageous.

Many apparently get it on the second run, but still

What additional documents did they request and what did you supply in response? What documents to indicate current location?

Anonymous participant on the face of it, it sounds like you provided a strong application. And yes embassies seem to be blindly redundant asking for previously submitted documents. The only other comment I can make is if the documents weren't in English. Sorry to hear about your experience.

You can apply again tomorrow but that would seem futile unless you know why you were rejected

You can reapply again directly, but take some time to identify what the problem was in your first application.

1. Document Issues.

You submitted the requested documents, but they were not sufficient for approval.

- This could include Muay Thai or cooking course documents.

- Remote work documentation may have been incomplete or unclear.

(If your documents meet the basic criteria, they may contact you for further clarification. If not, they often reject the application outright.)

2. Application Form Errors.

Some details in your application did not match your supporting documents for example, middle name discrepancies or incorrect passport numbers.

If you need help, feel free to message me. I offer paid assistance and can guarantee visa approval.

If you're unsure about what went wrong the first time, it's very risky to apply again without fixing the issue.

Thank you 👍🏼

i will be in the same situation, I will freelance for work but I do have far more than the required bank amount, so even then I can go without work. Do you think I'll get approved?

Vietnam embassies want to see you have consistent and enough monthly income. If you have the money sitting there for more than 3 months, I'd try at Laos.

Anonymous participant than is the financials my friend . This is what i thing was wrong at the end. Did you make any recent deposits to complete the 500k ammount. Was the money there flowing 3-6 months. They just not care about the last balance they want to see continous movement. Without looking at yout bank statements i could not figure this out. But you seem to do everything right . The recommendation letters are needed but if your financials are strong i dont think they would have rejected you 🙏

the statement is flowing. I have not transfer 500,000 at once. Its the income from work and I also have transferred in and out for freelance jobs multiple times. I think I will add the letter for the next applications. Thanks lot 🙏🏼

Anonymous participant one thing missing from your above list, is a letter from your employer addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate General, HCMC, confirming that they approve for you to work remotely in Thailand.

Anonymous participant i dont see the recommendation letters . This visa does not allow you to work in Thailand. Its one of its conditions “ employment prohibited” . Did they ever requested any documents ? How long was the money in the account? Any recent deposits ? Did you translate everything? Since the bank was coming from georgia i assume this was not in usd . Did you show usd or thai bath anywhere ?

Anonymous participant this visa does not allow local employment . It is really important that your company first allows you to work in thailand. YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY LOCAL CLIENTS . You will also not seek local employment. Make the letter professional . A company is expected to have a seal they really care about this things in asia . Attaching what i did for myself but again this is my own company. Hope this helps

Anonymous participant you can just make it like mine of course with your information. Dont forget to add the verbatim provision that you wont seek local employment and that your money comes from outside thailand. This is what they are really looking for at the adjudication stage. Your application went from pending document check to pending approval correct ?
