TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a Thai marriage visa extension can vary significantly by immigration office, typically taking anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months. It's important to note that the visa extension does not grant entry into Thailand as you are already inside the country. If you plan to leave Thailand during your extension period, you'll need to obtain a re-entry permit to maintain your visa status. Additionally, it is possible to keep your passport while the extension is under review, and the re-entry stamp will be provided at the airport before you depart.
