Is there a limit on how many days I can stay in Thailand on a DTV Visa, given my company's 42-day policy?

One maybe stupid question, when i ask for the DTV Visa it allows the max. of 180 days to stay and work each year as a digital nomad. My company allow normally a max of 5 weeks = around 42 days. Should that a problem?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV Visa allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days at a time, with the ability to exit and re-enter for another 180 days. There is no maximum stay per year, so your company's policy of allowing only 42 days does not conflict with DTV Visa regulations.

The max is 365 days per year. And they don’t care about your company’s limits at all

understood. But that’s up to them. You can stay 365 days a year in Thailand with a DTV. But you don’t really need one for short vacations like that

You are stamped in for 180 days at a time, there is no maximum amount of stay per year. You can exit and re-enter Thailand immediately for another 180 days, or apply for an extension at immigration for another 180 days.

My understanding is one doesn't need to stay 180 days or more. As long as you can prove that you are remotely working sometimes in Thailand.
