Apologies as I’m sure this will have been asked before.. so I’m going to apply for a DTV next year .. I run a small IT business and most of our work is remote.. so will be able to perform duties from Thailand …
Regarding spending the 6 months in Thailand.. when that ends, Is it possible for example to fly out of the country for a month.. and then return.. and upon landing back in Thailand does a new 6 month period start? ..or is it 6 months in Thailand followed by 6 months out of Thailand?
Thanks for any advice 🙌

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa allows holders to stay in Thailand for up to 6 months. Upon leaving Thailand, you can return and receive a new 6-month stamp each time you enter, with no specific requirement to spend an equal amount of time outside Thailand. Additionally, it's possible to extend the stay at an immigration office for another 6 months, allowing for a total of 360 days in the country before a required exit.
You can extend your 180 days by 180 days every year for the 5 years. Extension in country at immigration office. Watched a you tube video with Thai immigration minister explaining DTV
Every time you enter you get a 6month stamp. You then either leave and re-enter for your next 6 month stamp or you can extend in country at an immigration office for another 6 months. Max 360 days in country before having to exit.
