TLDR : Answer Summary
The community is seeking updates on DTV extensions and regulations regarding re-entering Thailand after a 6-month stay. Recent comments indicate that individuals have successfully re-entered Thailand and obtained new 180-day visa stamps, though nobody has yet completed a full 180-day stay under the new rules. An individual shared that their friend received a visa renewal without issues after traveling to Singapore. Additionally, a video interview with an immigration official was mentioned, clarifying that multiple entries are permissible for this visa type. Overall, the consensus suggests that leaving and re-entering Thailand is manageable and may even be beneficial for health.

Just leave and come back. It is not healthy for you to stay in Thailand for more than 6 months anyways. Most people travel around.

I watched a video on you tube by the retired working for you guy. He interviewed an official at immigration in charge of overseeing this visa. He made it clear you can come and go as many entries as you want. Really worth a watch

People are already re-entering and getting new 180 day stamps but nobody has stayed 180 days yet, not until mid-January

Actually some offices allow 45 days prior so the technical date is November 27th if they got it on the 1st day and use such an office.

My immigration office (Phuket) still have no information about what might be required.
