I got a question about the immigration office down at Jomtien . Mods if not allowed please move the post.

I want to extend my 60 day visa. The 60th day is on a Sunday the 28th of July.

When can I extend? the Friday before or several days before? Seems a gray area.

If I try and phone the office will they be able to tell me or am i wasting my time and just go along a few days before?

Any advice from those who have done it welcome please.

I am in Bangkok but hear its gonna be a full day to get this extension done here. So a mate of mine suggested the Jomtien centre as it should be quicker.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about extending a 60-day visa at the Jomtien immigration office, specifically asking how far in advance this can be done. Users in the comments clarify that extensions can typically be applied for up to 15 days before the visa expires, and that waiting until the last day is not beneficial since the additional days are added to the previous expiration date. The importance of having a TM30 form, which indicates one's address registration, is also highlighted.

I am such a newbie I just downloaded a TM30. Ok so now I know what it looks like. So if my air bnb host has done this how do I get a copy to extend my visa?

Ian. If your host has done it online he should be able to take a screenshot of the registration. If done in person, he'll have the stamped receipt from the Immi Office. I have heard (and it's only hearsay from people I know) that airbnb hosts don't like to register TM30 forms, as they don't declare the income.

There is no advantage to waiting until the last day to get your 30 day extension because they ADD the 30 days to your current expiration date. ;) Go early you'll be fine.

15 days before but you'll need an address and a TM30

Ian Black well, they are supposed to but trust me, many of the cheaper, smaller ones that are not licenced themselves here, don't.
