Can I show up early for my visa extension in Thailand?
Hey guys! I have a stamp until dec 15th when I need to go back to get my extension compeleted. Does anyone know if I can show up a day or two sooner? Or even tomorrow (dec 10th) or does it have to be on the date of the 15th? Thank you !
Answer summary
The user inquired whether they could show up early for their visa extension in Thailand, with a stamp that is valid until December 15th. Responses indicated that it depends on the type of stamp they have. If the stamp is an 'under consideration' stamp, they should return on the stamped date. However, if the stamp indicates an extension of stay valid until a specified date, they may renew their extension no sooner than 30 days in advance. Additionally, users pointed out that the immigration office may be closed on holidays.

What does the stamp say?

Thursday and Friday are holidays, and immigration is closed. See

Depends on the stamp. If you have an "under consideration stamp", AND you're not down in the islands, you should return on the day stamped.
IF you have an "extension of stay based on .... valid until.... ", you can renew your extension of stay no sooner than 30 days in advance (45 days at some immigration offices).
