TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the process for obtaining a full 60-day extension of their tourist visa after receiving a 15-day under consideration stamp. Responses indicate that upon returning to the immigration office on the specified date, the user should receive the remaining 45 days of their extension without any additional payment, and it's advised to apply close to the expiration date to maximize the extension duration.

ONE FINAL TIME:

When you apply for a 60 day "unable to travel due to covid" extension at MOST immigration offices it is a TWO stamp process

You apply, pay the 1900baht and get a 14 day under consideration stamp

ON THAT DATE: you return to the immigration office and they will give you the rest of the 60 day extension.

You do NOT pay any more and you only need your passport (and sometimes the blue/green receipt showing you paid for the extension)

It seems that most offices are starting the 60 day extension on the date you apply for it, not on the date your current stamp runs out (so this means you should go close to the expiration date of your current stamp so you don't lose days)

You'll get the balance of your time (45 days) when you close out your stamp on the 15th.
