ORIGINAL POSTER
Successfully extended my 30 day visa on arrival at Jomtien immigration yesterday with 11 days left on admitted till date of 2/17.

When handing my passport over I asked how far in advance I could extend & was told a few days only. After finishing asked at the check in counter & was told that now as the are busy can only extend 1 or 2 days before expiration date.

Just wanted to post in case someone needs to know about extension of stay in Jomtien.

Jomtien is one of the "rogue" offices that make up the days you can apply for an extension early based on how busy they are or their mood that day.

Bangkok, Buriram, Chiang Mai, Phuket & Krabi all allow extensions to be applied for when you have 45 days or less left on your current entry stamp. Most of the rest of the offices allow it when you have 30 days or less.

You can extend any time and are advised to do it earlier, if they said a few days, then 1 or 2 days, how did you get it 11 ahead?
