Is it allowed to visit immigration before the scheduled date for a Covid extension in Thailand?

Hi all,

I did a Covid extension in January and got the "under consideration" status.

I need to return to Krabi immigration on the 15th, however I just called and asked if I could go tomorrow which was ok. Does anyone else have experience of going before the set date? Does it vary depending on the immigration office?

Also, I cannot recall receiving a receipt on my last visit (or I've lost it), will this cause any issues or will I just have to pay another 1900?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked if they could visit the Krabi immigration office earlier than their scheduled date while their Covid extension was 'under consideration'. They also inquired about the potential consequences of not having a receipt from their last visit. Responses indicated that while it's generally advisable to attend on the scheduled date, some immigration offices may allow early visits. Concerns about the receipt were reassured, suggesting it likely wouldn't cause issues.

I don't understand the question πŸ™ if you called them and asked if you could show up five days early and they said it was okay? What are you asking the visa group for?

They aren't gonna say anything that you don't have your blue/green receipt that shows you paid the 1900baht. Just show up with your passport.

The communication was not crystal clear as there was a slight language barrier so I thought I'd check if anyone had any experience.

Reg. the receipt, sounds good. Worst case scenario I'll just pay another 1900.

Thanks πŸ™

they won't charge you another 1900baht they can tell from your stamp that you already paid (or believe me you wouldn't have an under consideration stamp IN your passport) πŸ˜›

Just show up, I mean worst case they tell you to come back on the date it says to and they send you away.

MY ADVICE is to always return on the date of your "under consideration" stamp. However, some immigration offices are very relaxed, and may allow you to return early. The worse they would say is for you to return on the 15th.

SHOULDN'T cause any problems. I wouldn't worry about it.
