I went to the Bangkok Bank at Central Rama 9 to get the bank letter for my non-o marriage extension, and they didn't understand my request. They said they could only give me a statement, but not a letter. Is there any reason not to just get it from the branch in Chiang Wattana on the day I go in for the extension instead of getting it in advance? I assume that I should have time to do that before they get to my queue number.

I just got my Bank statement from my Bank in Canada . On my statement the Bank stamped and initialed , but when I got home realized I need an accompanying letter. What exactly is the letter supposed to say.
i always make a copy of all pages of the bank letter ( nang sue rab roong thanakan) once i received it, before I have to pass the original to Immigration and they keep it. Thus I shall have a copy at hand for next year visit of my bank, just in case I run into a new employee who has no idea of what I am asking for. Showing the the specimen solves them & me the headache
. .and don't forget, write "aow rab roong thanakan, krap" onto the front page, so at your next visit you will know how to ask for the Bank letter in proper Thai 😎
I only had about 30 people ahead of me but the L section is pretty slow. I waited 2 hours before my number was called. It takes about 30 minutes to see someone at the bank. Have them update your bank book at the same time.
