I am applying for a 1-year extension of non-imm. Type O at Bangkok CW this week.

Getting certification letter of banked 800k funds (in a fixed interest account) from Bangkok Bank tomorrow and then apply at CW next day.

Anyone in Bangkok who has done an extension recently know if other branches will do the certification letter or am I limited to just the main Bangkok Bank branch in Silom?

Silom is very out-of-the-way. I assume the BB branch at CW does not issue certification letters but can stamp the bank book on the day of application for extension.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a 1-year extension of their non-immigrant Type O visa in Bangkok and is obtaining a certification letter for their banked funds from Bangkok Bank. They inquire whether certification letters for visa extensions can be obtained from any Bangkok Bank branch or are limited to the main Silom branch, considering its distance. Comments from other users clarify that certification can indeed be acquired from other branches and share tips about the extension process.

Can I ask was this a multi entry O visa and does anyone know how many extensions you can get thanks

You cannot get an O-A VISA from inside of thailand. You get that from the thai consulate in your country.

You are talking about applying for a yearly extension of stay from the immigration office that serves the area where you live.

I'd say about a month or so before your current Non-O entry stamp expires go to the immigration office and get the hand out that lists the requirements for getting a yearly extension based on being over 50 (retirement)

If you have more questions you need to open your own topic..

Good Luck

Hi Tod, I have a non O Multi entry visa which i have until November and I am wondering if i should get the OA as funds have been in the bank since January and this would mean I would not have to leave and I believe I would have to produce the same documents etc so maybe that would be best ......

, just so you're clear it's NOT a Non-O VISA, it's a yearly extension and all extensions are sold with NO re-entry permits because you're already here and don't have to leave.

Once you get your yearly extension you can buy a single re-entry permit for 1000 baht or a multiple re-entry permit for 3800baht and they last as long as your extension does..

if the visa was multiple or single entry does not matter, as long as you can meet all the requirements of the Immigration Office you can apply every year for a new 1 year Extension of Stay.

Quick update. Was able to get extension at Bangkok immigration CW yesterday without lease..... but they did ask me to draw a map.

So immigration only asked for the documents in there list of what is required..

I have done it many times from a different branch of the bangkok bank as chiang khan immagration insists that you have bank statment same day that you apply for your exstension so i use the bank that is closest to immagration
