Hi all. I’ll be going to Bangkok immigration -Lak Si to extend my Non-O and get the multiple re-entry permit. Logistics question for you - should I get my “tickets” (the number to see the agents) first and then go to the bank for the letter and passbook update etc - or should I do that first and then get the tickets to wait in line? If I miss my number being called, can I go to the agent or do I need to get another number and start again? This is my first time doing it so was wondering what your experiences were. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to get a queue number first or complete bank-related tasks before getting a number at the immigration office for extending their Non-O visa and obtaining a multiple re-entry permit. The response clarifies that the main immigration office for such matters is located at the Chaengwattana Road complex, not at Lak Si. It is recommended to obtain the bank letter a day before the appointment and update the bank passbook on the day of the application. Additionally, it was mentioned that if the user misses their queue number, they cannot jump ahead and must obtain a new number.

First off you won't be going to the immigration office at Laksi for anything to do with your Non-O visa

You will go to the main immigration office at the government complex building B on Chaengwattana Road at this location

You can get the bank letter up to 7 days before you apply so get it the day before you go out there. Make sure you update your bank book the day you apply (they have most banks downstairs at the government building where you can update the passbook)

Sadly IF you miss your queue number you can't just jump in and see the agent, you get a new queue and wait it out again.

you want section L-1 for Non-O visa (based on retirement or marriage to a thai)

you can make an appt for the application at this link, that way you just show up about 15 minutes before, get your documents checked by the officer, then go to the appropriate cubby for the extension.

you want the first choice on that screen

Government Complex Ratthaprasasana Phakdi Building

then the reason you're getting an extension.

I selected "retirement"

And- thanks for the appointment link. Seems that they are all booked up for appointments for the month- I guess I’ll have to wait in line. I’ll get there early and get the passbook updated and letters- then I’ll get the tickets and see how it goes. Let me know if that seems right. I’ll report back here either way. Thanks again.
