Hello group, I'm a 55 year old UK passport holder currently on a 6 month multi-entry tourist visa from the UK embassy in London. I received the standard 60 days stamp on entry at BKK airport on 27th November, which runs until 24th January. I need an additional 32 days stay to take up to the 24th February, when I then fly back to the UK for 3 weeks.
I know that if I leave Thailand and fly back in from an international destination that I will be stamped in for a further 60 days again, but, if I do a border bounce will I be stamped in for a further 30 days, or will it also be a 60 day stamp?
Alternatively, if I go to the local immigration office in Jomtien and apply for an extension, will I be able to request a 32 days extension?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder currently on a 6-month multi-entry tourist visa is seeking clarification regarding extending their stay in Thailand. They question whether a border bounce will provide a 60-day stamp or if an extension request can yield a specific 32-day stay. Responses indicate that a border bounce typically grants 60 days, but extensions at immigration are only for 30 days, and there is no provision for a 32-day extension.
