Can I Get a 30-Day Extension on My Tourist Visa in Thailand?

Hello group, I'm a 55 year old UK passport holder currently on a 6 month multi-entry tourist visa from the UK embassy in London. I received the standard 60 days stamp on entry at BKK airport on 27th November, which runs until 24th January. I need an additional 32 days stay to take up to the 24th February, when I then fly back to the UK for 3 weeks.

I know that if I leave Thailand and fly back in from an international destination that I will be stamped in for a further 60 days again, but, if I do a border bounce will I be stamped in for a further 30 days, or will it also be a 60 day stamp?

Alternatively, if I go to the local immigration office in Jomtien and apply for an extension, will I be able to request a 32 days extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder currently on a 6-month multi-entry tourist visa is seeking clarification regarding extending their stay in Thailand. They question whether a border bounce will provide a 60-day stamp or if an extension request can yield a specific 32-day stay. Responses indicate that a border bounce typically grants 60 days, but extensions at immigration are only for 30 days, and there is no provision for a 32-day extension.

Land or air border will get you 60 days but you cant get 32 days at immigration only 30 days and that would then end that visa so youd need a new visa thereafter to re enter

There is no such thing as a 32 day extension, you can get a THIRTY day extension ONCE on every entry from your tourist visa for 1900baht at the immigration office.

Bounce out and back either by air or land and as long as they visa is valid you will get stamped in for 60 days

May I ask you if you know what happens if he first gets a 30-day extension and then goes back, pays another 1900THB and applies for another 30-day extension? Obviously, it will be refused, BUT will he get the 7 days "refused application" stamp and as a result, cover the 32 days needed?

Your knowledge on this stuff is incredible

Extension is only 30 days. A border bounce should get you 60 days

You have a 6 month METV in your passport so as long as you enter the country BEFORE the "valid until" date on the VISA itself you will always be stamped in for 60 days (the number of days everyone entering on a tourist visa gets)
