I’ve tried to research online but it’s very confusing, please can someone advise me?
I am a uk citizen and I used the 30 free days on arrival, then extended at the immigration office for another 30 days.
During this I visited Laos for a week and returned via the land border crossing and got another 30 free days (it was just a few days before they extended it to 60 🥲).
Can I extend again at immigration or not?
Can I get another 30 free days by exiting and re-entering or not?
Thank you ☺️
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a UK citizen, initially entered Thailand with a 30-day visa exemption, extended it for another 30 days at the immigration office, and then re-entered via Laos for another 30 days. The key questions are whether they can extend their current stay again or re-enter to obtain another 30 days. The comments clarify that only one extension is allowed per entry stamp, and while they can 'border bounce' to re-enter, it's limited to two visa-exempt entries by land per calendar year. Clarifications also indicate that a recent announcement about extending the exemption to 60 days has not been officially enacted.
