I am on tourist visa now. Already did the 30 day extension and it's ending on 15 may. Wife had problem with her visa so we couldn't fly before then. Flight is on 20 may. Can I go to immigration so they can help me or should I do overstay and sort it out at the airport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is currently on a tourist visa set to expire on May 15, but their flight is not until May 20. Though they are considering overstaying, commenters strongly advise against this. Instead, they suggest visiting Thai Immigration to apply for a visa extension, which will likely be denied but may grant a 7-day grace period to leave the country. The cost for the application is 1,900 THB.

It is today 8 May and you have an Admitted to stay till 15 may, not sure what the visa of your wife has to do with you making a border run or fly out/in the country. You can go back to Immigration Office and apply for a new Extension of Stay, this would be not approved and you will get 7 days to leave the country. Be aware that this not approved stamp is the decision of the Immigration Officer, he can just deny you to apply or help you out. Cost of application will be 1.900 Thb.

Mehmet Çetintaş Not to scare you but a border run is not that expensive compared with getting arrested with jail time, a fine of 500 Thb a day, court session and a single flight back to your home country, booked at the desk in the Immigration Detention Center plus a 5 year blacklist to enter Thailand. I would say avoid the risk and make a border run, if possible.

We were waiting for her MVV visa for Netherlands. She got it earlier then we expected so that's why I didnt do border run. Seems also pointless and expensive for only 5 day difference. I will go to immigration and try to sort it out there.

Never Overstay. Go to Thai Immigration and apply for an extension of stay ...1,900 Thai baht. It will be denied but should be given you 7 days to leave Thailand.

I guess you don't know about the 7 day refused extension "extension".
