TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to extend your 30-day tourist visa after a two-day overstay. You will need to pay a fine of 1000 THB for the overstay and an additional 1900 THB for the extension. However, the extension will only grant you an additional 28 days, since two days will be deducted from the total. If the overstay occurred due to immigration office closure for weekends or holidays, it may be treated more leniently.

There is no visa to extend, as it expired on the date stamped in your passport. You may have other options. What happens depends on the individual officer and his superior.

You cannot extend a few times, a 30 day Tourism Extension which is available for Tourist Visa and Visa Exempt entries is only available once per entry

if there wasn't a weekend or a holiday, you application will be denied, you will have to pay the overstay fine (500 THB per day overstay) and pay 1900.- THB. You will be given a stamp that says "application denied, you have 7 days to leave the kingdom"

they don't deny the application until you would receive less than 10 days from the backdated extension

you mean they can still get a 10 days extension, deducted from the 30 days, when they show up at the Immigration office with less than 20 days overstay? 😮 😲 😮

if Immigration was closed for the weekend or a holiday, they will accept a short overstay. You will need to apply for the 30 days touristic extension, pay 1000.- THB fine for two days overstay and 1900.- THB for the extension. Two days will be deducted from the 30 days

Visa on arrival is normally 15 days. I guess you’re on a 30 days visa exemption. Makes no difference.

If you see my first comment above, -makes no difference, but a visa for the citizens entitled to visa exemption is two months.

Yes just bring an extra 1000 baht to pay for the 2 day fine. And your extension will be dated from the end of your original stamp so you'll only get 28 days.
