TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an American citizen holding a Non-O multiple entry visa based on marriage to a Thai national, is seeking clarification on their situation regarding visa expiration and the ability to apply for a yearly extension of stay. They mention being on an amnesty due to previous extensions and having sufficient funds in a Thai bank. A commenter provides insight that despite the visa expiration, as long as the user is still in Thailand with an entry stamp and satisfies the requirements, they can proceed to apply for the extension.

The VISA has nothing to do with you once you're IN thailand.

What lets you stay here is the entry stamp you get FROM the visa ;)

So in your case, you're on amnesty, that is tied back to a 60 day visit thai family extension that is tied back to a 90 day Non-O entry stamp you got AND so you CAN apply for a yearly extension of stay by meeting the requirements
