TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an American citizen holding a Non-O multiple entry visa based on marriage to a Thai national, is seeking clarification on their situation regarding visa expiration and the ability to apply for a yearly extension of stay. They mention being on an amnesty due to previous extensions and having sufficient funds in a Thai bank. A commenter provides insight that despite the visa expiration, as long as the user is still in Thailand with an entry stamp and satisfies the requirements, they can proceed to apply for the extension.
