Hello, love your site/advise help.

I am currently on amnesty (july 31).

Non-imm B visa expired April 1.

Work permit expired Oct 21, 2019, cancelled and surrendered.

March 28 visa run for non-imm retirement, O Visa - cancelled.

I have 800k baht in Thai bank, in my name, and "seasoned".

All paperwork in order, including Thai health insurance.

Question: is it possible to get any type of visa within country?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a visa while currently on amnesty in Thailand after their Non-Imm B visa and work permit have expired. Community responses indicate that applying for a retirement Non-O visa from an amnesty status is not possible, and the user will have to wait for further instructions regarding their situation.

I guess i was curious if any imm offices are issuing any type of visa where i wouldn't need to leave Thailand for ...even a short period longer, say 30 days.

I guess i know and understand that I'm going to have to exit the country in order to get an O.

Not to be disparaging

BUT

where pray tell would you go to get a tourist visa (as in what country is open for foreigners to get into?)

and

IF by some rare chance you got a tourist visa issued at a thai consulate somewhere how would you get back to thailand?

Tourists are not on the list of people that can request permission to get in to thailand at this time...

Unfortunately all you can do now is wait to see what they say amnesty holders need to do and then do that.

Sadly no. You can't apply for a 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50 (retirement) in country from an amnesty stamp. You needed "hard stamp" time left on your passport entry stamp.
